The 55th annual Northern
Michigan Gift & Souvenir Show will take place at Boyne Highlands Golf &
Ski Resort on April 20, 21 and 22, 2008.
At the same location for 43 years now, Boyne Highlands serves as the
perfect backdrop from which to service the northern Michigan resort
market. Many hundreds of retail businesses are within easy reach of the
show. Reps call on the area throughout the year but still look forward
to visiting with their accounts at the spring show. It has become a sort
of kick off to the busy summer tourist season ahead.
Buyers find the show a nice cross section of the industry overall. Equal
participation comes from both gift and souvenir Reps supporting the
unique coastal resort market the area is famous for.
Exhibitors find the small show equitable enough to endure a waiting list
that in some cases amounts to years before a space becomes available.
The show, a non-profit organization, offers free admission to all
retailers associated with the trade. Show Hours Sunday and Monday are
9am-6pm and hours on Tuesday are 9am-4pm
The show’s size and schedule also allow ample time for mixing business
with pleasure. Sunday and Monday nights feature cocktail parties with a
generous spread of hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment all
complimentary to buyers.
